CEBU, Philippines - Local television host Kris Nimrod ‘Borgie’ Cabigas and his alleged “other woman” Kaye Najarro posted bail yesterday shortly after Mabolo police filed a case for concubinage against them.

Senior Superintendent Hartzel Peter Bellido, Mabolo Police Station chief, said in a phone interview that they filed the case against Cabigas and Najarro yesterday afternoon, but the two were quick to post bail and were released afterwards.

The two, who were believed to have been having an illicit affair, were arrested inside Emtry Building at Samson Road, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City last Sunday.

Bellido said they received a call for assistance regarding a trouble at the building, without having an idea that the one involved was the local model and television host.

“Naa ra mi nadawat nga trouble alarm, atong girespondihan. Whether true or not ang alarma, ato man gyud na nga ipa-verify,” he said.

Mabolo Police, together with personnel from Mobile Patrol Group, proceeded to the area and caught the suspects “enflagrante delicto” inside the building, although Bellido did not mention what the two were doing.

SPO1 Arnold Aventojado, desk officer, was also quoted as saying that Cabigas wife, Mhariet, 26, called for police assistance because her husband was seen with a woman.

Police brought the suspects as well as Mhariet to the police station as tensions have flared up among the three.

Based on the wife’s account, it was later established that Najarro was the alleged girlfriend of Cabigas.

Mhariet reportedly received a text message from her cousin that her husband checked in at one of the rooms inside the building.  (FREEMAN)
