Group to give free vasectomy operation

CEBU, Philippines - An international pro-quality life group will sponsor a one-day no-scalpel vasectomy operation in Talisay City.

Frohnie D. Cagalitan of the FROED “PRO-QUALITY LIFE” Training & Dev’t, Inc. said the No-Scalpel Vasectomy International, Inc. will hold the free vasectomy operation at the Talisay District Hospital on June 11.

Cagalitan said the operation’s intention is to help men who desire to give quality life to their family.

Cagalitan said that the no-scalpel vasectomy provides a good option for those whose family planning method  has failed since this technique is safer and faster.

Contrary to misconceptions, this technique does not reduce men’s sexual urge but rather enhance the sexual relationship of couples as apprehensions of getting pregnant are no longer entertained, Cagalitan clarified.

According to her, vasectomy clients need not to worry about the procedure for it is simple and safe. It will only take 15-20 minutes with no incision and suture but just band aid. It is only the tube where the semen passes that is cut or tied. It has no effect on the sexual functioning or physical strength as misconstrued by some men.

City information officer Vince Monterde said those who will avail of the free vasectomy operation will be given P1,000.  (FREEMAN)
