Alleged pusher falls during buy-bust

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu City policemen arrested an alleged drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City, last Saturday.

Julius Lucero, 26, was arrested after he sold a small pack of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

The suspect was earlier placed under surveillance after a tipster told the police that the suspect is engaged in the sale of illegal drugs.

Senior Inspector Eunil Avergonzado said that upon learning about the information he immediately ordered his men to conduct a surveillance operation to confirm the information.

When they found out that the information was positive they immediately arranged a buy-bust operation to apprehend the suspect.

An operative acted as a police poseur-buyer and negotiated with Lucero to sell him a pack of shabu.

After he handed over the suspected shabu to the poseur-buyer CAIDSOT operatives immediately stepped in and arrested him.

After frisking him policemen found 51 small packs of suspected shabu and a .357 cal. revolver with live rounds on him.

Police immediately brought him to Camp Sotero Cabahug after his arrest after a crowd in the area started to gang up on them.   (FREEMAN)
