Janitor arrested for “drug trade”

CEBU, Philippines - A janitor at the Land Transportation Office in Danao City was arrested by the Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group of the Danao City police on Tuesday for allegedly being involved in an illegal drug trade.

In a buy-bust operation conducted by the task group together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7, Isvirgil Lictiones, 28, of Duterte Street, Barangay Suba, Danao City, was arrested after he sold a packet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer at around 12:15 a.m..  

Danao City Police Station Desk Officer P03 Nelson Pantoja explained that Lictiones sold shabu to specific customers who knew their "code" of drawing a dot on the money to be paid during the transaction.

Pantoja said that when they knew of the "code," they drew a dot on the money which was to be paid by the police poseur-buyer to Lictiones.

During the buy-bust operation, Lictiones immediately gave the pack of shabu to the poseur-buyer when he received the "marked" money.

Recovered inside his small pouch was a two hundred peso bill that had a dot, ten pieces of small sachet of shabu and P400 believed to be the profit of the drugs he have sold.

The suspect was brought to the Danao City Police Station.— /ATO (FREEMAN)
