Tanods stop burglary at Talisay subdivision
CEBU, Philippines - Three men were apprehended by tanods in Barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City for robbing the residence of a certain Domingo Pan Malot Friday morning.
Barangay tanods Allan Bacus Echavez, Efren Cabuenas and Demecillo Coronel of Lawaan 3, Talisay City, turned over to the Talisay City Police Station a certain Joselito Gonzales, 30, Ronald G. Canario, 26, and Ricky Ongue, 27, all residents of the same barangay, who allegedly broke into Malot’s house in Lombardi Subdivision.
According to Senior Police Officer 1 Yvonne Ilustrisimo, Malot caught the said suspects forcibly gaining entrance to the house by detaching the glass of the sliding window. Malot immediately called for the tanods’ assistance.
Among the items stolen were an electrical drill and 5.5mm, 3.5mm and 2.0mm electrical wires. All items were estimated to cost to P9,000.
The suspects are currently detained at Talisay City Jail for proper disposition. (FREEMAN)
