Robbers wearing Citom uniform?
CEBU, Philippines - A 15-year-old boy was robbed by two unidentified persons wearing the uniform of a traffic enforcer in Barangay Basak San Nicolas.
The victim lost his Cherry Mobile phone worth P4,000 to the unidentified robbers.
The boy said he was walking along Cabreros Street corner Rizal Avenue Extension when the two unidentified robbers, onboard a red motorcycle, appeared and declared a holdup using a handgun.
The robbers were allegedly wearing a long sleeve uniform of the Cebu Integrated Traffic Operations Management (Citom) enforcer. The victim reported the incident to Police Station 11 in Punta Princesa.
Meanwhile, a Japanese national who is a student at TARGET Global English Academy was robbed at the basement area of a mall in Barangay Apas last Wednesday.
Karin Mogi, 20, of Katakuracho City, Japan, was accompanied by the operations manager of the school to the Theft and Robbery Section to report the incident.
The unidentified robber took the victim’s iPhone 5S worth P40,000. The victim was at the basement of the mall to buy ice cream when the robbery happened.
In another incident, a medical student was also robbed by four men onboard a PUJ along the Gen. Maxilom Avenue in Barangay Kamputhaw last Wednesday afternoon.
Cresena Fernando Yecyec, 24, alleged that one of the robbers pulled out a gun and declared a hold up. She was divested of her Alcatel cellphone.
One of the robbers, however, was arrested by the elements of the Mobile Patrol Group who happened to be on a routine patrol at the area.
Amado Quiros Tecson was arrested after a brief chase while his three cohorts were able to escape. The victim’s cellphone was recovered from Tecson. (FREEMAN)
