CCTV footage to give clues to Seno’s death

Bryner L. Diaz - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - A closed-circuit television footage from a bakeshop near the apartment where Richard Seno was shot dead by a person whom he was guiding Wednesday morning might shed light to the identity of his killer, a police official said.

In a press conference, Sr. Insp. Elesandro Quijano said they already have a copy of the CCTV footage, which already in the custody of a technician for quality enhancement.

Quijano initially said that by just looking at the footage, the killer could not be identified because of glaring sunlight.

“Suwaw man gud kaayo; amo pang gipa-enchance sa technician,” Quijano said.

But he said that although the killers’ face as of press time could not be identified, the motorcycle he was using could be clearly seen.

He said someone from below was waiting for the suspect and fled away after the incident. He added that a black Honda XRM was used by the suspects as a getaway vehicle.

Although he could not ascertain whether the incident was a work of a gun-for-hire, he described the killing as “daring.”

He said all possible angles are explored by homicide investigators so that the incident will be solved the soonest. He also said investigators are now checking on the background of  the victim especially that they have received an unconfirmed report that he was involved in an indiscriminate firing alarm sometime last year.

“Amo pa nang susihon, among i-check ang record sa Fuente Police,” he added.

Seno was gunned down by a person whom he guided inside SNR apartment Wednesday morning.

The perpetrator pretended to inquire for a vacant room before shooting the victim on his nape with the bullet exiting through his head.

After the incident the suspect fled away using a black XRM motorcycle.   (FREEMAN)
