2 alleged pushers arrested in bust
CEBU, Philippines - Two alleged pushers were arrested in separate buy bust operations in Cebu City and Toledo City over the weekend.
In Cebu City, a pregnant woman was arrested in Sitio Bahaw, Barangay T. Padilla, Cebu City past 3:00 p.m. yesterday by members of the City Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG).
Melinda Obsequias, 39, was placed under arrest after she sold two small packs of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Aside from the two packs sold to the poseur buyer, police also recovered a medium sized pack and seven other small sized packs of shabu from Obsequias. They also recovered the P200 buy bust money and another P720 believed to be proceeds of the illegal trade.
Once sold to the market, Police estimated the value of the confiscated shabu to be around P21, 000.
Meanwhile, in Toledo City, police arrested Aldie Pantallano, 45, a Level 2 pusher and his 21-year-old daughter Wendy at past 6 p.m. yesterday night in Barangay Poblacion.
No less than Toledo Police chief Mark Anthony Bastes headed the operation.
Police were able to confiscate from Pantallano a big pack of shabu, nine small packs of shabu, as well as the subject of the buy bust and the P100 buy bust money.
Three small packs of shabu were also recovered from Wendy.
The confiscated shabu were sent to the PNP Crime Lab -7 for laboratory examination.
The suspects will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (FREEMAN)
