Traffic rerouting on Sunday

CEBU, Philippines - Vehicular traffic will be temporarily rerouted on Sunday to give way for the Sinulog sa Kabataan-Dakbayan from 12 noon until the activity is finished.

The Cebu City Traffic Operations Management and Traffic patrol group are advising drivers of public and private vehicles to take note of the rerouting schemes and to follow the traffic signs installed on the re-routing areas to minimize traffic congestion.

The street dancing will begin from Legaspi St., to Plaza Independencia, then turn left to D. Jakosalem St., to Osmeña Blvd., heading to P. del Rosario St., and back to Osmeña Blvd., taking the left lane and turning to the Gate of Cebu City Sports Complex.

Passenger jeeps coming from Guadalupe and Banawa shall follow this route: V. Rama Ave., to Katipunan St., left turn to A. Lopez St., to Tres de Abril St. to Carlock St, left turn to B. Aranas St., to Lakandula St., turn to Tupas St., then to Carbon Area. From there, jeepneys shall turn left to D. Jakosalem St., to Magallanes St., right to Borromeo St., to Sanciangko St., right turn to Panganiban St., to N. Bacalso Ave., to V. Rama Ave., then to their point of origin.

Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJ) coming from Capitol and Oppra with Route Nos. 14B, 14D and 15 passing N. Escario St. left to M. Roa St., then to Don Jose Avila St., to Juana Osmeña St., to Gen. Maxilom Ave., left turn to B. Rodriguez St., to V. Rama Ave., headings to N. Bacalso Ave., right turn to Panganiban St., then to Colon St. to Leon Kilat St., then to Carbon Area. From M.C. Briones St., PUJs shall turn left to D. Jakosalem St., to Magallanes St., then to Borromeo St., to Leon Kilat St., to J. Alcantara St., right turn to V. Rama Ave., another right to B. Rodriguez St., all the way up to Fuente Osmeña, then to their point of origin.

Passenger jeeps coming from Lahug passing Gen. Maxilom Ave., shall turn left to F. Ramos St., right turn to Junquera St., then to Colon St., to D. Jakosalem St., then to their point of origin. While jeeps from Ayala/Capitol with Route No. 14D shall follow F. Ramos St., to Junquera St., to Colon St., right turn to Mabini St., to V. Gullas St., heading to Legaspi St., to Pelaez St., to P. del Rosario St., right turn to Osmeña Blvd., then to their point of origin.

PUJs from Talamban with Route Nos. 13B and 62C passing Junquera St. shall turn left to Colon St., to Mabini St., right turn V. Gullas St., another right to D. Jakosalem St., then to their point of origin. While jeeps coming from Talamban with Route No. 62B and 65B passing Sikatuna St., shall turn to V. Gullas St., to D. Jakosalem St., then to their point of origin.

Passenger jeeps coming from Basak, Pardo and Labangon passing P. del Rosario St., shall turn right to Leon Kilat St., to Sanciangko St., then back to their point of origin.

PUJ’s coming from Inayawan, Basak, Pardo and Labangon passing Colon St., shall turn right to Leon Kilat St., to Magallanes St., then to their point of origin.

Passenger jeeps and other motor vehicles coming from the south passing N. Bacalso Ave. and are bound for SM, White Gold and North Bus Terminal, shall turn left to V. Rama Ave., right turn to B. Rodriguez St., proceed to Fuente Osmeña, to Gen. Maxilom Ave., then to their destination., From SM/NBT, PUJs shall turn right to Gen. Maxilom Ave., all the way to Fuente Osmeña, to B. Rodriguez St., left turn to V. Rama Ave., to N. Bacalso Ave., then to their point of origin.

PUJs coming from Urgello and USC Girls High shall pass through Leon Kilat St., right turn to Sanciangko St., to Panganiban St., left turn to Colon St., then to Leon Kilat St., to Magallanes St., to Plaridel St., heading to M.C. Briones St., to M.J. Cuenco Ave., to Palma St., to Arellano Blvd., then to their destination. From Pier, PUJs from SM/NBT shall head to M.J. Cuenco Ave., to V. Gullas St., or to Sanciangko St., then right turn to Legaspi St., to Pelaez St., left turn to P. del Rosario St., to Osmeña Blvd., to Urgello St., then to their point of origin.

PUJs coming from Mabolo passing Gen. Maxilom Ave., shall turn left to F. Ramos St., to Junquera St., to Colon St., to Mabini St., left turn to Urdaneta St., to M.J. Cuenco Ave, then to their point of origin while jeeps coming from Mabolo passing V. Gullas St., shall turn right to Legaspi St., to Colon St., left turn to Mabini St., to Zulueta St., left turn to M.J. Cuenco Ave., then to their point of origin.

Passenger jeeps coming from Mandaue City passing V. Gullas St., shall turn left to P. Burgos St., to Urdaneta St., to M.J. Cuenco Ave., then to their point of origin.
