CEBU, Philippines - A criminal case for robbery with homicide was filed before the court yesterday against the security guard who allegedly carted away P80,000 from a bank in Daanbantayan, Cebu and killed three persons on New Year's Eve.
PO3 Alfredo Mandal, case investigator, told The FREEMAN that the case was filed against Berly Tudtud before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Bogo City around 11 a.m."Tudtud will be detained at BJMP (Bureau of Jail Management and Penology) Caputatan, Medellin, Cebu," he said, based on the commitment order issued by Judge Antonio Marigomen.
Tudtud, 28, was charged for a non-bailable offense for robbing Fair Bank in Daanbantayan last December 31, 2013 at around 11:55 p.m where he also shot to death his fellow security guard, Dean Desierto as well as Cecilia Torre, 30 and Jennelyn Migabon, 26, both workers of the bank.
In a recent interview with the media, Tudtud admitted to the crime but stressed that he only took P40,000.
Tudtud was arrested by the members of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) on Sunday in Barangay Tadlong, Sagay City in Negros Occidental.- (FREEMAN)
