CEBU, Philippines - As part of its relief campaign, The FREEMAN Foundation is now accepting donations in cash and in kind for Northern Cebu residents greatly affected by super typhoon Yolanda’s onslaught.

The FREEMAN Manager Boy Mendoza said they are focusing on the northern part of the province like Bogo City, the towns of Daanbantayan and Medellin, and the islands of Bantayan and Camotes.

“Nanawagan din po ako sa mga gustong tumulong  (I am beseeching others to help).

Malaki ang  (There is serious) damage din doon; nagugutom rin ang mga tao doon (there also; the people there are hungry,” he added.

Last Saturday, The FREEMAN Foundation initially gave 100 packs of ready-to-eat goods in some areas in northern Cebu; but they were not enough considering the huge number of families affected by the devastation, said Mendoza.

The FREEMAN Foundation is accepting rice, noodles, bottled waters, canned goods, ready-to-eat food, blankets, and mosquito nets. Collected donations are set to be distributed by next week.

Donors can deposit their cash at Philippine Savings Bank-Pelaez Branch account number 058-112-00022-1 under the name “The FREEMAN Foundation, Inc.”

For those who also want to give goods, the drop-off center is at The FREEMAN office located on the corner of D. Jakosalem and V. Gullas Streets., Cebu City across Gaisano Main. (FREEMAN)
