“Masturbating” passenger charged

CEBU, Philippines - A criminal complaint for grave scandal was filed yesterday afternoon against an electrician who was caught stroking his sex organ beside a policewoman inside a bus in Barangay Li-ong, Dumanjug town last Friday.

The case was filed against Michael Oyangoren, 35, of Barangay Alambijud, Argao before the Municipal Circuit Trial Court MCTC in Dumanjug. Although the case is bailable but the suspect has not posted bail as of yesterday.

Police Officer 1 Roda Singson, who arrested Oyangoren, told TV 5 Aksyon Balita that she filed grave scandal instead of acts of lasciviousness because it is the more appropriate charge.

“Mao na to siya ang kaso instead nga acts of lasciviousness mas haum ang grave scandal,” said Singson.

Oyangoren was arrested masturbating inside the Ceres bus. He was seated beside Singson who was then wearing a pair of shorts. According to Singson, she was trying to take a nap inside the bus but could not do so because the suspect kept on moving closer to her.

Singson, assigned at the Women’s and Children’s Protection Desk in Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, was heading to her hometown in Badian when the incident happened.

Oyangoren, on the other hand, is heading south to check his videoke machine deployed in Barangay Li-ong, Dumanjug.

Singson said that she saw Oyangoren watching x-rated video on his phone. He took his bag from the overhead compartment and put it in his lap.

With his left hand holding the bag, Oyangoren’s right hand was already stroking his sex organ. Upon noticing it, Singson immediately transferred to another seat and informed the bus conductor about it.

Upon reaching Dumanjug Municipal Hall, Singson asked the bus driver to standby while she was asking assistance from the police station.

Singson was assisted by SPO2 Saul Alejandria in arresting the suspect.

Oyangoren tried to ask for an apology and admitted the crime but this did not stop Singson from filing the case.

“Mao pa man gud pagkita nako atong video pero dili nako mangayo og pasaylo kay humana ko og pangayo adtong Biyernes ( It was my first time to see the video, but I will not anymore apologize because I have already apologized last Friday)” Oyangoren said. (FREEMAN)
