Policewoman arrests “masturbating” man

CEBU, Philippines -  Little did 35-year-old Michael Oyangoren know that the woman who was wearing shorts and sitting beside him on the bus was a police officer.

So Oyangoren, of Barangay Alanbijud, Argao, watched a pornographic video using his mobile phone. Minutes later, he stood up to get his bag from the overhead compartment  and  put it on his lap.

With his left hand holding the bag, he used his other hand to massage his sex organ.

“Nahibulong ko nga lain na man ang lihok unya iya na gyud gipagawas ang iyaha,” said 24-year-old Police Officer 1 Rhoda Singson in a phone interview. (I was beginning to wonder why he was fidgeting a lot and then I saw his private part.)

The incident happened early morning yesterday in Barangay Li-ong, Dumanjug while they were onboard the Ceres bus. Singson was attempting to take a nap as the bus headed to her hometown in Barangay Poblacion, Badian.

Singson is a Women and Children’s Protection Desk officer of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office. She was off-duty at that time and was wearing a pair of white shorts and a blouse.

Oyangoren was reportedly heading south to check his videoke machines in Barangay Li-ong. He was seated between Singson and another girl.

Singson told The FREEMAN that she first saw Oyangoren texting but when she looked again, he was already watching an X-rated video.

“Sa akong hunahuna bastos na man ni siya pero wala lang una nako gi-mind,” Singson said.

Singson immediately coordinated with the conductor so the bus will stop at the Dumanjug Municipal Hall and she could ask help from the town’s police.

SPO2 Saul Alejandria was along the road waiting for a bus for his wife.

“Dili man nako pwede i-arrest diretso kay nakulbaan ko nga basin naay hinagiban sulod sa bag pero timing nga naa si chief sa may dalan,” Singson said. (I was careful not to arrest him on the bus because he might have a weapon hidden in his bag.)

The policemen arrested Oyangoren and took him to the Dumanjug Police Station pending filing for acts of lasciviousness.

Singson said Oyangoren asked for an apology and admitted his crime but this will not stop her from pursuing the case.  (FREEMAN)
