CEBU, Philippines - An estimated P100,000 worth of valuables was stolen by an unidentified burglar last Wednesday morning from a house in Nacua Compound, Barangay Lipata, Minglanilla town.

Wilbert Pilapil, 33, was not around when the burglar entered his house and stole his belongings.

Among the items stolen was an Asus tablet worth P36,000, a Samsung tablet worth P32,000, a laptop worth P25,000, a Samsung cellular phone worth P5,000 and a Cherry Mobile phone worth P2,000.

PO2 Nikki Carlo Plarisan, of the Minglanilla Police Station, suspected that burglar could have been a small boy because only two jalousie blades were removed from the window to allow the burglar inside.

“Posible gyud bata kay sa gidak-on sa agianan unya possibly pud nga dunay back up,” Plarisan said in a phone interview.

The burglar had also destroyed the window grill and the window screen.

Once inside the burglar took the items mentioned which were inside a drawer.

Early this month, a burglar also took almost P100,000 worth of valuables from an apartment in Sitio San Roque, Barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla owned by spouses Maryniza and Alfredo Embajador.

Among the items stolen include a Neo netbook worth P20,000, an Acer netbook worth P40,000, a 14k wedding ring worth P11,000, a silver bracelet worth P500, a Samsung cellular phone worth P10,000, a Sony Ericsson cellular phone worth P8,000, a Timex wristwatch worth P3,000, a silver wristwatch worth P500, two pairs of Nike shoes worth P4,000; a knapsack containing a charger, headphones and company ID.
