Argawanons prefer Davide-Soco?

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Vice gubernatorial candidate Glenn Anthony Soco claimed that voters in mountain barangays of Argao preferred him and gubernatorial candidate Hilario “Junjun” Davide III.

Soco made the claim after visiting the town and getting the support of at least five farmers’ organizations.

Soco, a lone candidate of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, said that his effort to visit even up to the remotest sitios is what the people have considered in choosing him.

“Gusto gyud sa mga mag-uuma kanang kandidato nga mobisita nila sa bukid (farmers like a candidate who visits them in the mountain),” Soco said.

Understandably, most of the people in Argao will vote for Davide being an Argawanon.

The Argao Business Community, Inc. (ABCI) has earlier expressed support for Soco because of his advocacy of giving more importance to small entrepreneurs by allowing access to capital and technological support from the government.

Soco emphasized the need for entrepreneurs to have access to capital and modern technology to support their businesses.

Meanwhile, Soco was again joined by his family and friends in launching his second round of caravan yesterday in the first district of the Province of Cebu.

Soco’s leaders and supporters converged at Lagtang Public Market in Talisay City where he conducted handshaking with vendors and tricycle drivers.

From there, the caravan went to barangays Tabunok, Poblacion, Cansojong, Biasong, San Roque and other barangays before going to Minglanilla town and San Fernando.  (FREEMAN)
