Voyeur stabbed to death in Toledo

CEBU, Philippines - A 44-year-old man was stabbed to death after he was caught peeping at the suspect’s live-in partner in sitio Sambag, Barangay Sangi, Toledo City last Sunday evening.

Agustin Cañada succumbed to a single stab wound in the chest. He was rushed to Toledo City District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect, Albert Abarquez Flores, 28, allegedly caught Cañada peeping at his live-in partner in the bathroom.

SPO2 Larry Pili told The Freeman that the victim had been doing it several times already.

When Flores noticed that Cañada was again peeping at his live-in partner, he switched off the lights and stabbed him in the chest.

Cañada tried to run but collapsed in front of Flores’ rented house. The suspect immediately fled after the incident.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle driver died and his back rider was injured when the motorcycle they were riding rammed into a concrete water tank along the national road in Barangay Malbago, Madridejos.

Eric Pagayuman, of Barangay Patao, Bantayan, died on the spot due to head injury while his back rider, Jite Mata, 18, of Barangay Baod, Bantayan, suffered injuries in different parts of the body.

Mata was rushed to the Bantayan District Hospital for treatment. The victims were traveling from Barangay Kaongkod heading towards Barangay Poblacion when the incident happened shortly before midnight of Sunday.

Police investigation revealed that Pagayuman lost control of the motorcycle.— /FPL (FREEMAN)
