CEBU, Philippines - Four people, including a minor and a pregnant woman, were injured in a vehicular accident involving a motorcycle and a tricycle on the National Highway in Barangay Pandacan, Pinamungajan Wednesday evening.

EJ Milallos,6; Evelyn Ortega, 30; Alex Mancao, 33; and Rasty Hubahib, 22, were rushed to Pinamungajan District Hospital because of body injuries.

Ortega, who is six months pregnant, and Milallos suffered severe injuries prompting the district hospital to refer them to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

Mancao and Hubahib only sustained minor injuries that required them to be treated only at the district hospital.

Milallos and Ortega were on board a motorcycle driven by Jeciel Milallos, 25, on their way to Toledo City when the accident happened at 7 p.m.

They were tailing the tricycle boarded by Mancao and Hubahib. One of the tricycle’s tire deflated causing its sudden stop in the middle of the highway. The motorcycle bumped the tricycle.

The driver of the tricycle, Argey Ogahayon, 28, of Barangay Tutay was detained at the Pinamungajan police station. He will be charged criminally after he was found to be travelling out-of-line. (FREEMAN)
