Investors seek NBI assistance vs. firm

Mylen P. Manto -

CEBU, Philippines -  At least 15 investors of Adszens Broker Corporation went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-7 yesterday, to seek assistance after their supposed monthly collectibles for their investments were not released by the company despite demands.

Raffy Torneros, 52, a resident of Cebu City, said he invested P10,500 in the said company and wanted his money back after the company failed to give their collectibles and products as package for their P1,500 “entry” or investment.

These products included ten pieces solar energy stickers, one alkaline

stick, ten pieces organic soap and four bottles of barley.

Torneros said since he registered in www.adszens.com in September 2012, he did not receive any products or collectibles for his investment.

He learned that the branch office of Adszens on the second floor of Rain Tree Mall in Ramos was closed since December.

He said they only sought the NBI’s assistance after the company failed to fulfill their promises.

Likewise, he said every time they asked for products the management said there’s none or that they ran out of products. The main branch of the Adszens was located at 4th floor, Savers Mall, Edsa Rotunda, Pasay City.

Rolly Lupien, a resident of Cebu City said he noticed that there were many changes made in the website of the company. He invested more or less P80,000.

“It’s a mysterious company. There were changes made in their websites we cannot click…probably they intentionally made it,” he said.

Another investor, Ronido Tecson, 24, a resident of Gorordo, Cebu City, said he only received P2,500 a month after he invested in the said company but afterwards, did not receive anything anymore.

Considering he has six accounts, which was equivalent to P9,000 every month, he supposedly has P825 per account but he did not receive any. One account is equivalent to P1,500.

Adszens in Ramos branch has 900 accounts.

As of October 2012, Tecson said there was already no clear payment given to them by the management representing the collectibles and the commission for recruiting new members. On the second week of December 2012, the Adszens Ramos branch was closed.

The investors complained against the company itself and the two cashiers in Ramos branch, Bethel Roble Sugian and Grace Lendio Maglines.

NBI agent Florante Gawiran attended to the investors’ concerns. Once

the necessary documents will be completed, he explained to the investors

that a complaint will be filed before the Prosecutor’s Office.  (FREEMAN)
