Teenager kills neighbor

CEBU, Philippines - A teenager was arrested after stabbing his neighbor dead inside the Taboan Public Market in Tres de Abril St., Barangay San Nicolas, last Sunday evening.

The 31-year-old victim, Rolando Debalucos, died after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest by 18-year-old Beljun Aragon.

Debalucos, a laborer, was sitting on a bench at the public market at 8 pm when the suspect sneaked up to him from behind and stabbed him on the chest using a sharp bladed weapon.

The suspect fled while the victim was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center but he succumbed to the serious injury.

Details gathered by the police showed that the teenager had been harboring a grudge against the victim since the latter fought with his brother.

The suspect was arrested by Charles Angga, a member of the Barangay Intelligence Network, who immediately responded to the alarm.

The suspect was turned over to the police and will face a charge for murder.

Simultaneous to the incident, a construction worker landed in the hospital after he was stabbed by three men in Barangay Duljo-Fatima.

Jun Garcia, 41, ended up being stabbed reportedly after admonishing a boy not to play with an airsoft toy gun. The suspects were only identified as a certain Raboy, Louel, and Sunny.

Garcia was walking on his way home after having a drinking spree when the suspects blocked him along a dark pathway. At this point, the suspects helped one another in mauling and stabbing him repeatedly.

Wounded, the victim managed to run to evade more attacks and asked help from his sister who then took him to CCMC. The suspects fled.

Prior to the incident, the victim was drinking with his friends and neighbors when he saw the boy playing with an airsoft toy gun, prompting him to admonish the boy.

The boy then told his aunt who also reported the incident to the suspects.  (FREEMAN)
