Colleagues pray for Caminero’s healing

The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - The members of the Cebu Provincial Board prayed for the miraculous healing of their colleague, Board Member Aladin Wilyamie Caminero, during the start of their session yesterday.

Ex-officio Board Member Carmen Remedios Durano-Meca, the president of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Cebu chapter led the prayer.

Meca included a “special prayer” through the intercession of Mother Mary and San Pedro Calungsod for the quick recovery of Caminero who is still recuperating in the hospital after an accident last week.

“Lay upon him Your miraculous healing hand so that in due time and with your boundless mercy, his full and complete recovery will be achieved and bring him back to normal life,” Meca said in her prayer.

Today, Caminero is set to undergo an operation for bone fractures.

His father, PB Member Wilfredo “Willy” Caminero, described the fractured bones of his son’s legs and thigh to be serious.

“Mura’g giatsa,” said Willy.

Result of the Computerized Tomography (CT)-scan however revealed that Aladin suffered no serious head injury.

The young Caminero, though, remains at the Intensive Care Unit of South General Hospital in Naga City.

As of his status in the PB, Vice Governor Agnes Magpale said Aladin, who represents the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation, is on medical leave.

“I’m so happy he is now out of danger,” Magpale said.

Magpale added that Aladin is so blessed considering the wreckage and the extent of damage of the vehicle that crash resulting to his severe injuries.

Willy said that it would take time for Aladin to recuperate considering the severe injuries his son has suffered from the crash.

Aladin’s vehicular crashed at the national highway of Barangay Binlod, Argao last Friday morning.

He was driving a family-owned Ford Everest with his three friends on board from Barangay Poblacion to Barangay Taloot when he accidentally sideswept 13-year-old Christian Zamora who was walking along the road.

Aladin swerved right, hitting a Hyundai Starex driven by 41-year-old Celrick Paul Redoña of Peace Valley, Lahug, Cebu City who was about to park the vehicle at their garage.

The impact caused the Ford Everest to fall on its side and hit a tree, causing injuries to Aladin and his friends.

The three friends of Aladin also suffered bone fractures and contusions.

They are Michael Vincent Mansueto, 22; Joel Mendoza, 22, all of Barangay Poblacion, Argao and Clint Bryan Pelayo, 26, of Barangay Lamacan. — (FREEMAN)
