CV solons endorse Dulangon as next DepEd-7 director
CEBU, Philippines - Central Visayas lawmakers have recommended assistant regional director Carmelita Dulangon to be the next director of the Department of Education in Region 7.
A recommendation letter signed by all congressmen in Central Visayas was handed personally by first district Rep. Eduardo Gullas to DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro.
“I am recommending ARD Dulangon as RD for DepEd in Region 7. She is qualified for the position,” Gullas told reporters.
Dulangon met Gullas last Tuesday at his district office in the University of the Visayas-Main Campus to personally thank the lawmaker for his unwavering support.
It was Gullas who lobbied before other lawmakers in Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Bohol and Cebu to support Dulangon.
Dulangon took over as officer-in-charge of DepEd-7 after director Recaredo Borgo-nia retired last March. Naga City division superintendent Caridad Labe is expected to replace Dulangon as assistant regional director.—(FREEMAN)
