VSMMC to conduct maintenance

 CEBU, Philippines - In order to provide a safer and cleaner hospital environment, the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Infection Control committee will be conducting their annual routine preventive maintenance, scrubbing and cleaning together.

This will be done together with the post culture in the Delivery and Labor room, Ward I, Ward II and the neonatal intensive care unit from October 18-29, 2013.

However, they will start admitting emergency cases only and direct to delivery room cases starting October 15, 2012. This is done to give time for their social workers to discharge remaining patients.

In line with this, VSMMC will not be accepting obstetrics cases for the said duration.

Patients can be referred to the St. Anthony Mother and Child in Basak San Nicolas and Talisay District Hospital for the patients from the southern part of Cebu. While for those coming from the northern part of Cebu, they can proceed to the Eversely Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City.  (FREEMAN)
