Fire leaves P800T damage to AFC warehouse
CEBU, Philippines - A warehouse of Atlas Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation in Barangay Daanlungsod Toledo City was razed by fire Tuesday afternoon.
The Toledo City Fire Department pegged the damage at P800,000.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Julius Dagatan said they received the fire alarm at 4:27 in the afternoon and was declared fire out 13 minutes later. Dagatan said the security guard reported the fire.
The open type warehouse made of light materials was used as storage of empty sacks for fertilizer.
Initial investigation shows that electrical short circuit may have started the fire.
“Naa sa wire ang problema possible sa suga sa warehouse (the problem is with the electrical wirings of the warehouse) ,” Dagatan said in a phone interview.— (FREEMAN)
