Pa stabs man for "molesting" his daughter

CEBU, Philippines - A 26-year-old man accused of molesting his former employer’s daughter is in critical condition for stab wounds in the different parts of his body.

Marlon Degamo, a former shell craft worker, was allegedly mauled and stabbed by Dandan Nadera yesterday in sitio Lawis, Alaska, Barangay Mambaling.

Degamo used to work in Nadera’s shell craft factory.

Nadera reportedly accused Degamo of molesting his daughter a few days ago.

Nadera was with four other men during the attack but Degamo could not identify them.

Homicide Section investigation revealed that Degamo, a native of Getafe, Bohol, was just fired from his job.

He was sleeping inside his shanty at 1:30 a.m. yesterday when Nadera with four companions allegedly barged in.

Nadera reportedly shouted “rapist ka” before hitting him with a hard object.

Then, Nadera and his companions allegedly stabbed him and fled.

Neighbors brought Degamo to the Cebu City Medical Center.

Senior Insp. Jul Mohammad Jamiri, head of Homicide Section, said Nadera accused Degamo of molesting her daughter, a minor, a few days ago.

Jamiri said this prompted the suspect to fire him.

But Degamo denied the accusation.

As of yesterday, Degamo is still in critical condition, Jamiri said.     - THE FREEMAN
