City completes P27M worth of road projects

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Government will be turning over P27 million worth of road concreting projects to 10 barangays in Cebu City today.

Most of these concreting projects ready for turn over are in the mountain areas except for the concrete-lined canal with cover in sitio Anagay, barangay Apas that cost some P556, 021.62.

The barangays to be visited by Mayor Michael Rama for the ribbon cutting, blessing and turnover today are Apas, Buhisan, Toong, Pamutan, Kaunasan, Binaliw, Pit-os, Binaliw, Agsungot, Guba and Sirao.

The road concreting and drainage system in Sitio Bocawe and Lamakan in barangay Buhisan cost P3.3 million, the two road concreting projects with drainage in Pamutan cost P4.6 million while the road concreting with slope protection and drainage system in Toong cost P3.2 million.

The concrete road from unit 2 to unit 3 of OPRRA in barangay Kalunasan costs P2.8 million, the concrete road from sitio Mansawe to Campo of Binaliw costs P3 million that is about the same price as the concrete road from sitio Pundok to sitio Proper of Pit-os.

The road concreting project in Agbuakan road in Agsungot costs only P494,821 while the road concreting in Guba that stretches from Guba to Sirao road costs exactly P3 million.

The last stop of the series of turn over is the road concreting with drainage system at sitio Tawagan I in Sirao that cost P3.3 million.

All road concreting projects totaled to P26,661,578.01. Including the concrete lined canal in Apas, the total amount of completed projects is P27,217599.63

These projects were funded under the Supplemental Budget No. 5 in 2010 and the Annual Budget of 2011 where Mayor Rama appropriated some P100 million for the purpose.
