Medical mission benefits 500

CEBU, Philippines - More than 500 individuals in the town of San Remegio availed themselves of the free clinic conducted by the Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. and Cebu fourth district Rep. Benhur Salimbangon recently.

Monette Aliño, MSY Foundation executive director, said that this is the 51st medical mission conducted by the foundation in its 20 years of existence. 

Aliño said that the latest medical mission has served six barangays in San Remegio namely, Anapog, Bankasan, Tambongan, Lambasan, Dapdap and Victoria.

Services rendered included Pap smear, adult consultation, pre-natal, pedia consultation and circumcision.

Aliño said that the medicines are donated by the Department of Health and Cebu Provincial Health Office.

Volunteer organizations during the medical mission were the Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Philippine Medical Women’s Association, Philippine Pediatric Society-Cebu Chapter and obstetricians/other surgeons.  (FREEMAN)
