CEBU, Philippines - The Carcar City Police arrested the principal suspect in the shooting of the son of Carcar City Mayor Nicepuro Apura yesterday afternoon in Barangay Tri Onion, Catigbian, Bohol.
The suspect was identified as Jayboy Lauron, 38, single, of Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
The arresting team was led by no less than the component city’s police chief, Chief Inspector Teodulfo Manatad III.
The arrest of Lauron was based on the statement of the witnesses, who positively identified him as the one who shot Carl Vinson Apura during the disco concert in Sitio Upper Tubod, Barangay Valladolid, Carcar City last Sunday dawn.
Lauron reportedly tried to elude arrest, but was cornered at the rocky portion of the area. (FREEMAN)
