CEBU, Philippines - Two suspected members of Budol-budol gang were arrested by traffic enforcers after pulling off another swindling activity Monday afternoon along Escario St. Barangay Capitol Site.

Susan Alvarado, 52, of Sitio Kamote, Looc, Mandaue City and Karen Urot, 39, of San Jose, Catmon, Cebu were arrested by traffic enforcer Myrna Abayata and other CITOM personnel at around 3 p.m. in Villaon St. Capitol Site after the victim, Jayanna Lou Yanoc, sought their help.

Abayata said she first noticed the suspects together with an unidentified gay companion running towards her direction. Abayata said she sensed there was something wrong but could not act without a complainant.

However, few minutes later the victim approached her and asked if she saw three people whose description fit with the three people she earlier saw. With the assistance of the other enforcers, Abayata ran after the suspects and arrested the two while the other suspect was able to elude arrest.

The CITOM personnel were able to recover Yanoc's things except for her wallet containing P20,000 cash, ATM cards and school ID.

The suspects were turned over to Fuente Police Station where Alvarado was also caught in possession of a pack of shabu.-(FREEMAN)
