VG Agnes Magpale leaves decision to Bakud party

CEBU, Philippines - Vice Governor Agnes Magpale yesterday said there are on-going talks in the Bakud party with regards to political alliances in the 2013 elections.

Magpale confirmed the discussions when interviewed by reporters during yesterday’s launching of the “Barangay Supplemental Milk Feeding Program” of  Sixth District representative Gabriel “Luis” Quisumbing where she was a guest speaker.

Magpale yesterday said that she will leave it to the chairman of the Bakud party, Danao City Vice Mayor Ramonito Durano, to announce what has been agreed upon.

Mandaue city Mayor Jonas Cortes said he is hopeful that Magpale will join the Liberal Party where she has long been invited to join.

Cortes however said that he will also respect Magpale’s preference for the decision of the party to which she belongs.

Cortes said the Liberal Party have been inviting her since the party has high regard and respect for her.

He added that the LP is grateful because whenever she is invited to their affairs, Magpale always shows up.  (FREEMAN)
