Robber steals kiss

CEBU, Philippines - A man who robbed a public utility vehicle stole a kiss from one of his victims while fleeing at Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City last Thursday.

 Sheen Bacquero, 18 years old and a car dealer from Mandaue City, was shocked when the robber kissed her after taking her valuables and that of three others before fleeing.

The incident happened at around 8:30 in the evening after Bacquero boarded a jeepney from Barangay Mabolo. Minutes later, two unknown men boarded the vehicle bound for the Cebu Business Park. They sat on both sides of the vehicle and declared a holdup. 

“Naa naman gasakay daan.Tulo mi ka buok puros babae unya pagliko namo sa New Era kay ning sakay ang mga laki unya gitagsaan mi og tupad,” said Bacquero. (There were three of us women passengers. The robbers then sat beside each one of us when they boarded the vehicle.)

She said that the one of the robbers who sat next to her took her two cellular phones and one thousand cash then returned her bag.

As the suspect were about to get off the vehicle, one of the robbers stole a kiss from Bacquero.

“Padulong na unta to sila naog niya ni ingon man ang usa nga ayaw sa ka’y kissan sa to ni.” said Bacquero. (They were about to get off when one of them said wait, let’s kiss this one first.)

“Baho kaayo siya mura’g walay ligo” she added. (He had such an awful smell.)

Although still shaken, the victim went to the Cebu City Theft and Robbery Section yesterday hoping to identify the robbers.  (FREEMAN)
