Six brgys receive cash aid, multicab
CEBU, Philippines - A total of P6 million from the Priority Development Assistance Fund of 4th District Rep. Benhur Salimbangon was distributed to at least six barangays in Bogo City.
Aside from the cash assistance which will be used to finance various infrastructure projects, each of the six barangays also received a multicab from the congressman.
The recipient barangays include Libertad, Udlot, Lourdes, Malingin, Pandan and Sudlonon.
Salimbangon said P3.5 million was given to Libertad for the construction of a cultural center. Barangays Udlot, Lourdes, Malingin and Pandan received P250,000 each while Sudlonon was given P300,000.
Salimbangon said he also distributed multicabs to each of those barangays to provide easy transportation for the residents in times of emergency.
According to Salimbangon, transportation is a necessity especially in the mountain barangays wherein transportation is very rare. Salimbangon said he has already distributed 165 multicabs to different municipalities in his district since 2009. — (FREEMAN)
