Fetus found in river

CEBU, Philippines - A five-month-old fetus was found floating at a river along Sitio Bas, Barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City on Friday afternoon.

Arnold Barangan, a 22-year-old security guard, spotted the fetus at a distance while he was cleaning the premises of their house at around 2 p.m.

Barangan said he found suspicious the floating item, which was caught by a bamboo twig. Intrigued, he kept looking at the object until it got lose and was carried by the river’s current.

He then realized that it was a fetus, so he reported the matter to the barangay hall.

Councilman Kelly Quinada asked for police assistance. They brought it to the St. Francis Funeral Homes. (FREEMAN)
