CEBU, Philippines - A woman lost her cash and valuables to four “decent and sexy-looking” women inside a clinic at the Cebu Doctors Hospital, Barangay Capitol Site, shortly before Saturday noon.
Gloria Maria Jatayna, 45, a resident of NHA Busay Heights, Lower Busay, Barangay Busay, reported to the police that four women her age, stealthily took her wallet from her shoulder bag.
PO2 Reynaldo Labating of the Cebu City Theft and Robbery Section said the victim went to the clinic of Doctor Patricia Calderon at the ground floor of the Diaz Building at 11:20 am supposedly to have a check up.
As soon as she entered, Labating said four women also entered the clinic and bumped the victim but she just ignored them.
“Gi-tuyok-tuyokan daw siya,” Labating said.
After learning that the doctor was not around, the victim decided to go out and leave but when she reached the entrance, one of the women blocked the doorway and pretended to be talking to someone on the phone.
While she asked the woman to let her pass, the three other women were allegedly behind her.
The women, she said, were aged about 45 to 55 years old.
“Wala siya mag-expect na mahitabo ‘to kay mga sexy-looking kuno, disente tan-awon ‘tong mga bayhana,” Labating said.
When the victim was finally able to go outside, she looked for her wallet and discovered that it was already missing.
Labating said she immediately suspected that the women took her wallet because there were no other people at the clinic except the five of them.
The lavender-colored wallet contained P3,000, a white gold necklace worth P6,000, a Chinese gold necklace worth P2,000, a pair of diamond earrings worth P6,500, and assorted cards.
The victim then reported the matter to the police. — (FREEMAN)
