Rep. PJ Garcia awards 97 cops

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Third District Rep. Pablo John Garcia awarded 97 policemen who joined the “Cong. PJ Garcia PNP Proficiency Shoot fest” held in Barangay Sam-ang, Toledo City last October 22.

Aside from the cops, the third district representative also awarded winners of the recently concluded Cong. PJ Cup 2011.

In the awarding ceremonies held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, Garcia also distributed computers, appliances and dump trucks to some barangays.

The “Cong. PJ Garcia PNP Proficiency Shoot fest” had three categories including the Enhanced Service Pistol Division, Custom Defensive Pistol Division and the Stock Service Pistol Division.

Policemen from Aloguinsan won the top spots for the Enhanced Service Pistol Division with PO3 Alex Nable, PO2 Stephen Tibon, and Sen. Insp. Jaime Tolentino bagging the first, second, and third place respectively.

SPO1 Elesio Paquit from Team-A Toledo City placed fourth while PO1 Julius Aniñon from the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) landed fifth.

The Custom Defensive Pistol Division was topped by SPO1 Peter Cuanso of Team-A Toledo City followed by SJO2 Jose Roberto Mapa of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), PO3 Arman Enriquez of Team-A Toledo City won third place.

Cebu Provincial Police Office Director Sr. Supt. Patrocinio Comendador took the fourth spot while PO1 Jerrick Caballero of Balamban won fifth place.

SPO1 Uldarico Mendasca of Pinamungajan was awarded first place for the Stock Service Pistol Division followed by PO2 Dave Lauglaug of PPSC (second place).

PO1 Leonides Leduna of Aloguinsan won third place followed by PO3 Leo Susvilla of PPSC for the fourth spot and SPO2 Dante Talandron of Team-B Toledo City (fifth place).

Inspired by the activity initiated by her brother and Provincial Board Members Ian Zambo and Alex Binghay, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia announced that she will also have a police proficiency shoot fest in the entire province.

This is to help the policemen in the province enhance their shooting skills. (FREEMAN)
