CEBU, Philippines - A businesswoman lost P30,000 after she was robbed by two unidentified men while delivering gasoline in Sitio Mayana, Barangay Magsaysay, Balamban Tuesday afternoon. The man who was riding in pillion forcibly grabbed the brown shoulder bag of Donna Bella Goc-ong, 30, where her cash and cellular phone were kept.
Goc-ong, a resident of Barangay Adlaon, Cebu City, was in Barangay Magsaysay delivering gasoline at the store of Chona Gabunada when the two motorcycle-riding men wearing transparent crash helmets arrived.
The back rider disembarked, approached Goc-ong and poked a .45 caliber pistol while the driver remained onboard his XRM 125 motorcycle bearing YD7262 parked in front of the Adventure Café.
Goc-ong alleged that she was already onboard her Isuzu Elf JBU-669 and was about to leave when the robber came over and demanded for her bag.
She said that when the robber saw her hesitate, he pulled out the pistol tucked in his waist.
Left with no choice other than putting her life at stake, Goc-ong decided to surrender her belongings. — (FREEMAN)
