Columnist suffers heart attack

MANILA, Philippines - Columnist and broadcaster Ricky Rama Poca is currently recuperating from a mild heart attack last Wednesday.

Poca, a first-degree cousin of Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, has served the Cebuano community in both print and broadcast journalism most of his life. He writes for Cebu Daily News and is also heard over raido dyRC.

He is currently confined at the Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital where he is being closely monitored by physicians due to his condition.

Friends are welcome to text him or visit him one at a time in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit 7 where he guests are received 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

His wife, Dr. Noemi Poca said that her husband is in stable condition.
