Man hangs self
CEBU, Philippines - A man hung himself inside their house after he was accused of molesting his live-in partner’s sister last Monday morning.
The victim was identified as Virgilio Ilagan Jr., 22, of Katipunan Labangon, Cebu City.
Rodrigo Aguilar, 48 and a friend of Ilagan’s family, discovered the victim’s body when he entered Ilagan’s house.
According to Aguilar, Ilagan was hanging with a nylon rope around his neck. He immediately cut the nylon rope and rushed Ilagan to the Cebu City Medical Center but the attending physicians declared the victim dead on arrival.
Ilagan’s relatives said he was depressed in the past days because of rumors about him. They believe this prodded him to end his life.
Neighbors of the victim also said that Ilagan looked very disturbed in the past days because of the talks that were going around in the neighborhood. – (FREEMAN)
