PB lauds Gullas for his election to CA

CEBU, Philippines - The Provincial Board yesterday passed a resolution congratulating Cebu First District Rep. Eduardo Gullas for having been elected as member of the powerful Commission on Appointments.

Board Members Sergio Restauro and Julian Daan sponsored the resolution.

“It is our deep honor and pride that one of our fellow Cebuano leaders was given the rare opportunity to be a part of such well-respected Commission,” the resolution reads.

Gullas was elected to be part of the bicameral Commission last August 24, 2011.

It is not new anymore for Gullas to be in such powerful position as he was the vice-chairman of the CA in the 14th Congress.

With his election to the CA, he replaced Iloilo Rep. Ferjenel Biron.

Restauro said that as an experienced lawmaker and long-time member of the House of Representatives, Gullas exemplified his work with utmost dedication and excellence.

He said that Gullas passed essential legislations whose primary objective is not only to uplift the lives of the people but also to raise the standards of governance of the nation.

“For us Cebuanos, he is considered as an icon and a role model, most especially to the younger generations whose dream and desire is to entirely dedicate themselves to public service,” Restauro said. (FREEMAN)
