Five injured in vehicular accident
CEBU, Philippines - Five men were injured after two trucks crashed into each other at the crossing of Poblacion, Tabuelan town on Friday dawn.
The vehicular accident happened at around 2 a.m. and most of the passengers were sleeping.
SPO1 Ballovar Adolfo of the Tabuelan Police Station said an Isuzo cargo truck driven by Jaunito Cabanez Jr., came from Toledo City when it hit a Fuso truck owned and driven by a certain Richard Sabadoki of St. Patria Village, Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Adolfo said the Isuzu cargo truck was headed for Daanbantayan after transporting some band members when its driver, Cabanez, saw the Fuso truck coming out from a corner in Poblacion, Tabuelan but was not able to control his vehicle to avoid collision.
The injured passengers of the Isuzu cargo truck are Ryan Branzuela, 31; Archie Sanchez 21, and the driver’s brother, Robert, 30 of Barangay Talisay, Daanbantayan.
Dennis Panis 21, of Victoria City Negros Occidental who is the lone passenger of the Fuso truck sustained contusions on his body due to the impact.
Both the drivers also sustained injuries. However, Adolfo said all of them are safe. (FREEMAN)
