Leyte fugitive falls in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - A former manager of a copra company in Southern Leyte was arrested in Barangay Quiot last Wednesday evening by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 for multiple counts of qualified theft.

Edgardo Guiritan Arcamo, 52, resident of San Juan Southern Leyte was arrested by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Altone Miralles of the Regional Trial Court Branch 26 in Leyte where a P556,000 bail was fixed for his temporary liberty.

CIDG operatives caught him inside an apartment at Unsuan Subdivision in Quiot.

Arcamo used to be the manager of Anistar Trading in Southern Leyte since 2001 until he got terminated last year because of his alleged connivance to the company’s cashier in stealing P6 million sales.

Arcamo is also identified as the leader of “Egay Group” which is responsible in several theft and swindling cases in their town. He will be turned over to the authorities in Southern Leyte. (FREEMAN)
