Couple loses P200,000 worth of items

CEBU, Philippines - Over P200,000 worth of jewelry and accessories were lost by a couple to an unidentified man who burglarized their house in Mountain View Village, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City Sunday morning.

After arriving from the church, Jerome and Rose Posadas were shocked upon seeing their jewelry and accessories were gone from the drawers.

Rose told The FREEMAN that her cousin discovered the crime Sunday noon. The burglar climbed the back wall and destroyed their window iron grills. He then forcibly opened several drawers where the jewelries were stored.  

Rose said it was not the first time that their house was burglarized, believing that the burglaries were perpetrated by the same man.

Aside from the jewelry the Posadas also lost a notebook worth P15,000; a digital camera worth P18,000; an Apple I Touch worth P9,000 and a cell phone. (FREEMAN)
