Woman loses bag to robbers

CEBU, Philippines - A woman lost her valuables and cash to two unidentified men who held her up along General Echavez Street in Barangay Lorega dawn yesterday.

Sarah Jane Rodrigo, 25, a resident of the barangay, said she was walking near the Alsons Inn when two men on board a motorcycle blocked her way, one of whom was bringing a .38 caliber revolver.

The man with the gun disembarked, pointed the firearm at her and declared a holdup. They took away her bag, which contained her mobile phone, wallet with P5000 cash, digital camera, company ID (JP Morgan and Chase) BIR TIN ID, PhilHealth ID, SM Advantage Cards, BDO reward card, ATM cards, and other personal belongings.

The two immediately drove off towards Sikatuna Street.

Rodrigo said it was difficult for her to identify the suspects because the two were wearing helmets. (FREEMAN)
