2 salesmen lose cash, valuables to robbers

CEBU, Philippines - Two cigarette salesmen were robbed of their P10,000 sales and other valuables by two unidentified armed men in Sitio San Antonio barangay Guinsay, Danao City yesterday morning.

Joel Lumakad and Leopoldo Talorico have just parked their delivery truck when the two motorcycle-riding robbers stopped by and pointed a gun at them.

The robbers who were wearing masks to hide their faces took their cash and other valuables.

The robbers also took their wallets containing ATM cards, SSS I.D. and driver’s license. After taking the valuables from the victims, the suspects immediately fled.

The victims failed to provide the identity of the assailants to the police because they were not able to see their faces.

Danao City Police Chief Alvin Valio said they conducted hot pursuit operation but failed to arrest the robbers. (FREEMAN)
