CEBU, Philippines - Recognizing the importance of dental care, the Rotary Club of Talisay in partnership with the Young Men’s Christian Association, Omnilogy Inc. and the Fil-Am Magtimbayayong Foundation Inc. launched the mobile dental clinic which aims to give free dental care among the poorest of the poor in Cebu.
Cris Caparoso, YMCA manager in a press conference, said that it is very difficult especially among the poor residents living in mountain barangays to get access to dental care.
“Kasagaran gyud mga pobre. Walay ika-plete padung sa siyudad ug labaw pang wala’y ikabayad sa dentista,” Caparoso said.
He added that it is within this concern that prompted them to come with such program which they intend to do as often as possible.
He said that those barangays who wanted to avail of this free service should ask their barangay captains to just have to write them.
The group together with some dentists today will conduct a free dental clinic in Bulacao, Talisay with over 60 indigent patients. —/WAB (FREEMAN)
