KTV shooting suspect known

CEBU, Philippines - The police claimed they have already identified the person responsible in the shooting rampage that killed three persons and injured another one inside a KTV bar in Barangay Mambaling Sunday dawn.

Supt. Armando Radoc, Cebu City Police Office deputy director for administration, however refused to reveal the identity of the suspect claiming it might jeopardize an on going operation to have him and his cohorts arrested.

The gunman shot dead Ramil Bayotas, 30, Gilbert Sabijon, 25 and Jackie de Dios. They all suffered gunshot wound in the chest which make the police believe that the suspect is a professional shooter.

A certain Gely Laag, 28, was also injured during the rampage.

The victims were having drinking session at the Limbaga KTV bar 3:30 a.m. Sunday when a man wearing red shirt and a ball cap entered the store and opened fire at them.

Radoc said previous grudge between the suspect and one of the victims could be the motive behind the shooting.

“Atong tan-aw is bikil, but we are also considering other angles,” Radoc said. (FREEMAN)
