Burglars break into tattoo shop, rented room
CEBU, Philippines - Burglars barged into a tattoo shop in Barangay Kamputhaw and a rented room in Barangay Lorega and took away several items in separate incidents early morning yesterday.
In Kamputhaw, Restituto Lutao, 30, a resident of Consolacion and painter at Needlepoint Tattoo, said the shop lost a pipe heater worth P25,000, welding wires worth P6,000 and a drill gun worth P2,500. He discovered that the items were missing when he reported to work around 7am yesterday.
Ocular investigation conducted by the police showed that the burglar forcibly pulled out the shop’s air-conditioning unit and used the hole on the wall to enter the place. Police said it is possible that the burglary was carried out at dawn and that there was more than one suspect – one went in to steal the items and the other acted as a lookout.
The shop is currently undergoing construction.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring barangay Lorega, Belen Montecillo, 26, a hotel employee, lost her laptop and cash amounting to P4,000 to the burglars. She arrived home from work at 6am when she discovered that the padlock of her rented room in sitio Itom Yuta was already destroyed.
She immediately went inside the room and found out that her laptop worth P40,000 and cash amounting to P4,000 were missing.
Investigation is ongoing for the possible arrest of the suspects. (FREEMAN)
