CEBU, Philippines - An Italian national is giving a reward to whoever can return the cards he lost when his bag was taken away by unidentified men.
Francesco Scirea, 60, an importer and distributor of Italian wine, went to The FREEMAN yesterday and said he will give cash to whoever can return his driver’s license and health card.
Scirea, a resident of Fillena Village, Barangay Tisa, said three unidentified men connived in stealing his sling bag while he was eating at a fast food restaurant inside a mall in Barangay Banilad around 12:30 pm last Sunday.
The bag contained 150 euro, two gold rings estimated to worth P60,000, and several cards.
Scirea said he was eating alone in the restaurant when a man passed by him and suddenly threw away a toothpick. The man was reportedly among the three men sitting near him at that time.
Scirea suspected the culprits could have taken away his bag when his attention was diverted to the toothpick. Moments later, he realized his bag was already gone.
He subsequently reported the matter to the Mabolo Police Station.
Scirea said it is possible that the suspects would just throw the cards away. He is hoping that whoever will find the cards will return them. He said the cards may be turned over to The FREEMAN. (FREEMAN NEWS)
