Teener drowns in San Nicolas
CEBU, Philippines - An unidentified minor was found floating in the seawaters of sitio Ginapsan, Basak, San Nicolas, Cebu City yesterday afternoon.
Believed to be in his teens, the minor was wearing an orange pair of shorts with number 04 and a round necked sky blue T-shirt. He has slim built and estimated to be 15 years old.
A group of kids who found the victim called a certain Andy to inform him about a dead person floating a few meters from the shore.
They tried to resuscitate him but he was already dead.
Residents of the place said they saw the victim with three companions swimming in the sea.
There were no external injuries found in the body of the victim or any signs showing foul play.
Police Officer 3 Jeffrey Gutual, homicide investigator, said the boy possibly drowned.
“Pirmi man kuno ni sila maligo diha kuyog sa iyang mga kauban nga murag libod-suroy,” he said. (These kids are often seen swiming there.)
Policemen said they are still waiting for parents to come to their office. (FREEMAN)
