Man shot dead in Danao City

CEBU, Philippines - A 28-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunman while watching a basketball tournament in Barangay Togonon, Danao City Sunday afternoon.

Alberto Vazquez succumbed to a single gunshot wound in the head when an unknown assailant fired at him while he enjoys watching the basketball championship past 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

 The unidentified gunman approached the victim and without any provocation shot Vasquez from behind.

The assailant fled immediately while the victim was rushed to the Danao City District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Danao City Police investigators are looking at personal grudge as possible motive in the killing.

“Pwede personal grudge kay naa ni siya’y nakalalis anang buntag,” a police investigator said.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
