UV holds international workshop
CEBU, Philippines - The University of the Visayas College of Arts and Sciences, in cooperation with the College of Social Sciences of the Chonbuk National University in South Korea, will hold an international workshop on “The State and Civil Society in East Asia” today at 3 to 5p.m. at the UV HRM Social Hall.
Two Korean professors from Chonbuk National University will be visiting UV for the workshop, as well as the presentation of papers. One of the presenters is Mr. Song, Ki-do, a professor in Political Science and International Studies, who will present his paper entitled “The Impediments and Development of Democracy in Korea.”
The panelists who will interact with Mr. Song are Councilor Edgardo Labella, Jomar Rubio and Jose Richie Estrera. (FREEMAN)
